When The Man came , he came naked as a baby but loaded with riches from another world . He who was rich , became poor , so that we , through His poverty might become rich .
For our shallowness , He brought depth ; for our fear , He brought courage ; our insecurity , His Father ; our blindness , His eyes to see over horizons ; our darkness , His light ; our sins , His forgiveness ; our time , His eternity ;
our sicknesses , His healing ; our emptiness , His fullness ;
our lostness , His direction ; our diminished ambition , His Kingdom purpose ; our selfishness , His community ; our death , His life …complete you own list and then believe it.
All the promises that God has EVER made are ‘Yes’ in Christ , and we say ‘Amen.’ ALL that we need is in Jesus . HE is the Brightest and Best ! And , Yes , that is His Name , spoken by eternal mandate : Jesus Christ , The Savior of the World . And He is mine and I am His for ever….Merry Christmas ! x Andrew.
When those lepers sitting at the gate of the besieged city considered their options , they came to a good conclusion . ” If we go back to city , we will die , if we just sit here , we will die , if we go out to see what`s going on , we might live .”
‘Might live’ is a lot better than ‘will die.’
The Bible constantly talks about , ‘faith to faith ‘ ,’ increase of government and peace’ , ‘glory to glory ‘, ‘ strength to strength.’ In God`s dealings with us , there is always challenge to become who is He says we are . Not what our history says , our background , our past . But what He intended for us to become – our present future !
” A ship in harbor is safe , but that is not what ships were built for!” Somebody must crank a motor , raise a mainsail , pull up an anchor chain and head out to the unknown , that we have heard whispers about…and don`t sail too close to the shore…
What shapes your present ? Something and somebody does !
More often that not it is the past , which , of course , cannot be changed . I`d like to talk about this from an individual and also corporate perspective – personal and prophetic if you like .
For things to be different , you will have to move from where you are . Jesus told a lame man to get up and walk ! Move !
He put mud on a blind man`s eyes and told him to go to the pool of Siloam and wash it off . He saw . But he had to move !
God told Moses to tell My people to go forward – a sea parted .
God never changes but He`s always on the move . From a personal point of view , we must all be willing to move physically , emotionally , geographically and prophetically .
If we sit here we die , said the 4 lepers at the gate . At least fall forward ! To be continued…

Between now and the end of the year , I have about 30 flights to navigate – many of them long haul for short times . Over the years , I`ve learned to pack light and not to check a bag in . I`ve shed the ‘burden ‘ .
Mo and I share an apartment in Spain with the Fredriksz`s and have a 2 bedroom apt in AZ . We have shed a lot of furniture and stuff . So far , I`ve not missed a single thing .
The older I`ve become , the more I know I don`t have to know everything . I`ve shed a lot of unnecessary clutter out of my brain . The more I trust the Father , the less stress there is , even in the midst of increased responsibilities . I`ve shed a lot of weight out of my soul .
God`s word tells us ‘His yoke is easy and His burden is light.’
It also advised requests us ‘ to lay aside every weight ( a bulging load ) and the sin that so easily besets ( thwarts) us.’
To all my friends and readers who faithfully check in , my apologies for long absence . No excuses really , busier all the time , traveling a lot and off line often , but I know I should have pressed in . I will be here more often – hard not to improve on the recent past ! So much has happened :
-graduated our first class of first class ‘plank holders ‘ ( the first crew ) ;
-took part in the first World Race ‘Awakening’ in Romania ;
- welcomed our second class with 7 people in all – great group of hungry pilgrims ;
-making arrangements for an intake of around 25 in Jan `10 .
Wonderfully encouraged by how the Lord has helped us lay good foundations in the Leadership Academy and feel invigorated for the future . There is a generation on the planet with passion for harvest and inheritance ( the 42 nd one !) . I am honored to have a part in its calling out and its maturing .
I`m going to keep these blogs fairly short , so I`ll conclude with something I read the other day :” When you walk with God, the promise before you is always greater than the pain behind you.”

We recently started our second 3 month semester here in the Leadership Academy in Spain and we were joined by 4 new interns . They have brought added value and we are all experiencing exhilarating and enjoyable days ( and evenings – last night they were all crowded in our apartment and terrace having a fine time !) with Presence and resurrection filled brokenness . Marvelous ! I think impartation and incarnation is taking place and it is a wonder to behold ! Almost all of them will leave mid Sept ( with a plan !) and as they are eating more and more into our hearts , I am not looking forward to it . But they have to go . The world is calling . The church needs to be built , orphans need a family , businesses need to be planted and the tribe needs to increase . And others are coming…
To a man ( and woman ) they have all said that they believe that God sent them here . I`m very pleased . There is no other reason to be here . My raison d`etre too ! One of our life messages is that “there was a man sent by God and his name was…” God`s endless , unstoppable quest to partner with human beings in the building of His Kingdom and the destruction of hell. Thank God for Last Adam who made it all possible .
Put your name is that space ; speak it out as you believe it ( I believe therefore have I spoken!) . Now act upon it in Jesus` Name – God is waiting for his partner to show up…!
Mother had it right . She 'taught' me thankfulness and humility . She had incarnated them . I don`t remember any lectures on the subject , just a life , well lived , day in , day out and I received the truth . In theory , at least . It has taken a lifetime and I guess still is , to incarnate it fully into my own experience . I cannot ever recall hearing Mum complain about anything ! She was a Pastor`s wife and there were many opportunities , over the years , to let rip . She never did – quite remarkable !
David was a flawed man , passionate ( remember the dance ?) , lustful ( remember Bathsheba ?) , but he knew the mercies of God and his language and writings are full of thankfulness . In his kingship , he remembers that it is God`s choice that put him where he was and to the end , remained the shepherd king as humility reigned in his heart .
My daily reading , a couple of days ago included the well known words : ” Repent and change your attitude .” In other words : ” change your mind and change your attitude.” Both ! If I was pushed , I would say that these two characteristics , are at the top of any list I would make up of what is required to follow Christ. Maybe , I can try and justify that statement….. if you need to , change your attitude !
My daily reading this week has been the end of John and the beginning of Acts ! The prominent feature is the resurrection of the Lord Christ and his disciples` compelling witness to it . The turning point of entire history .
Some of you , my friends , must have thought that I was in need of a resurrection ! My walk in life , pales into pallid insignificance when compared to Christ`s thrashing of death and hell , and the opening of the way to life eternal for all men. Nevertheless , I rejoice that because He lives , we shall ( and do ) live also.
A number of circumstances have conspired to keep me occupied and silent the last few weeks – including a weird feeling of what I can only describe as 'writer`s block', and a strange lack of energy . A lifetime of good habits has kept me alive ! Habits,spiritual instincts ! As my Dad has said so many times : “It comes to pass..” And we will not be silent .
By the Grace of God we are laying good foundations with the interns here in Spain . We are blessed with great young people . They are in N. Africa this week on a practicum mission being led by David Hearn – due back on Saturday . Had good reports so far .
We have another 4 joining us in a couple of weeks and the kitchen table will have to be enlarged . Still my favorite place . Thanks for prayers and patience and I`ll be back quickly !
